In Sitges we are committed to innovation and technology and at the Sitges Convention Bureau we constantly strive to encourage research, innovation, and the development of knowledge in the MICE industry. Within the framework of the “F5 Sitges Refreshing<\/em><\/strong> MICE” <\/span><\/em><\/strong>program<\/strong> and in alliance with EMI – Event Management Institute, we have promoted two different research projects to further knowledge of this sector.<\/p>\n

The “MICE Cell”<\/strong> that we will present during the IBTM together with MPI and EMI, organized by EMI jointly with the University of Barcelona, on December 1st<\/sup>, <\/strong>and where 3 psychologists from the UB have investigated the ELEMENTS THAT INTERVENE IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS OF A DESTINATION OR A VENUE, the destination and the physical spaces as determining factors in the communication of an event. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Psicothon, the first live communication and events marathon,<\/strong> with the participation of approximately fifty psychologists to answer questions like how to change the attitude of an audience or their behavior, how does the brain react to the stimuli offered at an event, or what is the role played by elements such as music, colors, or non-verbal communication at events?Sitges Next<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>returns to Sitges in an in-person format, the festival dedicated to promoting innovation in the communication of brands, agencies, start-ups, and technological creators. <\/strong>Two days to establish new connections, receive input and inspiration with the objective of making an important contribution to the transformation of the way we communicate over the upcoming years.<\/p>\n

At this 2021 edition, held on November 11th<\/sup> and 12th<\/sup>, Sitges Next adopts a hybrid format and one of the main new features is that it was held at three emblematic venues in Sitges: the Mercat Vell, the Maricel Palace and the St\u00e4mpfli Foundation, located in Sitges’ historic district.We recently received 3 winners of the Sitges Convention Bureau’s “SitgesMICEFan” Contest for MICE sector professionals in Sitges.<\/strong> Each of them was able to experience Sitges with their partner for 2 nights at a Sitges CB associate member hotel and enjoyed gastronomic experiences and activities that allowed them to indulge their “6 senses”. Sitges Convention Bureau participated in the Catalunya Ambassadors Program’s “MeetAmbassadors” event, held at the Waltraud Winery, the new Familia Torres Visitor Center in Pacs del Pened\u00e8s. <\/strong><\/p>\n
