Spring has sprung in Sitges with a bang and events are back to their face-to-face format. More than 20 congresses confirmed for 2022. All About People and the Sitges CB assembly.

Spring has sprung in Sitges with a bang and events are back to their face-to-face format. More than 20 congresses confirmed for 2022, which as always, we are including in the calendar of congresses on the Sitges CB website. Conventions, meetings, and company incentives, both national and international, confide in Sitges as their headquarters, to generate knowledge and develop human relations.

Here at the Sitges CB we continue to support events in Sitges, and, with the collaboration of our associates, we hosted the All About People Workshop for the British market, which was attended by nearly 100 professionals.

We also organized the Sitges Convention Bureau’s annual assembly, which brought together 34 associate members at ME Sitges Terramar Hotel, where the actions planned for promoting the destination for the MICE sector in 2022 were presented. During the event, Raimond Torrents from the Event Management Institute presented the conclusions of the MICE Research Cell, pioneering research in this sector, which defines the elements involved in the decision-making process for choosing a destination or venue and which was promoted by the Sitges CB, as part of the F5 Sitges Refreshing MICE umbrella.

Sitges is sustainability and we have prepared a guide that includes specific activities, local companies involved with the 17 SDGs, and many other suggestions.

We want to inspire your events in Sitges and as an example, here you can see the activity organized by Sitges Outdoor for “o9 Solutions” which conducted several CSR activities in the different world capitals where they are based: Tokyo, Washington, Amsterdam and Sitges, to commemorate INTERNATIONAL EARTH DAY.

In this initiative, 30 people from the company’s staff planted 600 aromatic plants and 100 Holm oaks, reforesting and landscaping a section of the Terramar Park in Sitges.

Sitges CB Assembly – #F5SitgesRefreshingMICE

This past April 26^th, we organized the Sitges Convention Bureau’s annual meeting, which brought together 34 associate members at the ME Sitges Terramar Hotel. The actions planned for promoting the destination for the MICE sector in 2022 were presented, with Sustainability and Legacy being the fundamental aspects for this year.

During the event Raimond Torrents from the Event Management Institute shared with associate members the conclusions of the MICE Research Cell, the result of the work carried out by five psychologists from the University of Barcelona and promoted by the Sitges CB, who researched the elements that intervene in the decision-making process for choosing a destination or venue, which we will subsequently present at different events this year, as part of the F5 Sitges Refreshing MICE program.

From March 25^th to 27^th, Sitges hosted the “All About People” event, one of the best MICE forums in the British market, as an initiative of the Sitges Convention Bureau and Dolce Sitges, in collaboration with Finca Mas Solers and 12 associate member companies. The hotel and convention center was the venue for the event, which was attended by more than 100 sector professionals.

In addition to business meetings, team-building activities were held on March 26^th to get to know what Sitges has to offer and the Awards Gala, which had not been held face-to-face since 2019, took place at Finca Mas Solers.

Dolce Sitges organizes “Dolce Tardeo” every Friday from 7pm to 10pm, an afterwork at the hotel’s Malvasia bar, with a DJ, signature cocktails with show cooking, appetizers and much more, ideal for your guests’ networking during your meeting in Sitges, a unique evening to enjoy the perfect atmosphere and spectacular views of Sitges.

Grupo Matas Arnalot organized an open house on May 4th for MICE sector professionals, which included activities, workshops, and a talk by Grupo Eventoplus. During the open house there were visits to the Hotel Subur Maritim, Masia Vilanoveta and Restaurant PicNic.

Roccomotion Audiovisual produced the short film and teaser “Fiction vs Reality” for the Ministry of the Interior. In it, actresses Maribel Verdú and Iris Díaz chat with a female National Police inspector and a female Civil Guard officer about gender equality.

Autocars Dotor’s new environmental initiatives: They have introduced water in sustainable cartons, use only biodegradable cleaning products and recyclable shopping bags. They are also replacing their upholsteries with synthetic, sustainable materials and do not use animal skins.
