If you need to drive around Sitges, please contact the Sitges Convention Bureau. We’ll inform the municipal police of the route for the purpose of obtaining permits.

At Sitges CB, we’ll advise you on managing and booking spaces.

If you want to organise an event in a public space in Sitges, you must apply for the corresponding municipal licence.

Please note:

• Deadline: the application must be submitted at least 2 months in advance. Once the fee has been paid, the process begins.
• Online application: the documents are submitted online and you will need a digital certificate. Here’s the link
• Event information: you must specify aspects such as number of participants, infrastructure requirements (audiovisual, furniture, sound), possible promotional activities, security or parking requirements.
• Set-up and take-down: specify the expected timeframes and the cleaning service, as the space must be left in the same condition after the event.

How can I apply for a permit to hold a beach event?

Our beaches are among the destination’s main assets. If you want to hold a beach event, we recommend contacting the Sitges Convention Bureau beforehand so that we can advise you based on the activity type.

To occupy sea/land public domain property, you must have prior authorisation from the Directorate-General for Land Use and Urban Planning and you must notify Sitges Town Council.

Please note:

• Deadline: the application must be submitted at least 2 months before the start of the activity.
• Processing: once the corresponding fee has been paid, the administrative process will begin.
• Documents: the application must be sent to the Directorate General for Land Use and Urban Planning and a copy of the application must be sent to Sitges City Council (Beaches Department):

Do you need to organise a transfer from the airport, a visit, an outing or a transfer to a gala dinner? Here are the contact details of the companies Sitges Convention Bureau recommends.

Sitges has city buses and taxi services, but hardly anyone needs them. Its compact size and proximity to hotels, restaurants and the centre make this a truly walkable destination, and indeed, many prefer to walk. Getting around on foot isn’t just an option here; it’s the norm.

City bus

The service covers all the neighbourhoods and sectors of Sitges town centre and is made up of three urban lines:

• Line 1 – Poble Sec – Vallpineda
• Line 2 – Can Pei – Terramar
• Line 3 – Llevantina – Quint Mar

Taxi Sitges offers a 24/7 service for getting around the city and for transfers (airport, port or Barcelona).

Sitges is committed to genuine, recognised sustainability. Its responsible tourism policy has been in place since 2006 and it is certified as a Gold Biosphere Destination (renewed in 2024), aligned with the 17 SDGs. Currently, the destination and 32 companies and resources, including the Sitges Convention Bureau itself, have signed up to this commitment.

In addition, 9 beaches and 3 ports have been awarded Blue Flag status, and the Parc del Garraf is part of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS).

Sitges is also a member of the Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism’s Smart Tourism Destinations (DTIs) Network, a project managed by SEGITTUR, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability, accessibility and innovation.

Sitges CB members are experts in designing responsible, tailor-made, authentically Sitges activities, including experiences in the old town, by the sea, in the Parc del Garraf and at Designations of Origin Penedès and Garraf wineries.

The public price for these municipal charging stations is 0.38 kWh, with unlimited usage time.

Private spaces (Only for hotel guests for any of their services)

• Hotel Meliá: There are 6 vehicle charging stations in the hotel car park.
• Hotel MiM: There are 2 vehicle charging stations and 2 stations specifically for Tesla vehicles in the car park.
• Eurostars Sitges: there are 3 vehicle charging stations in the car park and 2 Tesla superchargers for the X and S models.
• Hotel Calipolis: there are 4 vehicle charging stations in the car park.
• Hotel Sunway: 12 charging stations.
• Hotel ME Sitges Terramar: 2 fast charging stations.

Avinguda Sofia. One charging station. Open on weekends. Open all week from mid-July.
