In 2025, brands such as Volvo, Toyota, Audi, Citroën and MINI chose Sitges to present new products, to film promotional videos and to connect with the media and guests in a setting that brings together scenery, infrastructure and efficient logistics. And it’s no wonder: in Sitges, products are contextualised, tested and remembered.
The destination’s connection with the automotive sector runs deep. From the historic Barcelona-Sitges International Vintage Car Rally, held for the first time in 1959, to milestones such as the presentation of the SEAT 124 D LS in 1973, cars are part of the town’s heart and soul.
One of the major local landmarks is the Autòdrom de Terramar. Built in 1923, it was the first permanent track in Spain and is currently the only active historic circuit in the world, a unique space where brands such as Cupra, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Honda and KTM have held film shoots and events. Cupra has made Terramar one of its main public marketing venues, hosting international presentations and high-impact campaigns at the site. In 2024, director J.A. Bayona chose it as the location for his Cupra Terramar advert, a piece with a powerful narrative and powerful visuals that reinforce the venue’s iconic status, and in 2025, FC Barcelona players tested the vehicle on the track.
The ecosystem is rounded out by a hotel industry that has extensive experience working with the sector. Hotels such as ME Sitges Terramar, Eurostars Sitges, Sabàtic Sitges, Meliá Sitges and more have hosted presentations, professional meetings and events for the automotive and mobility sectors, boasting versatile spaces, specialised services and an unbeatable location.
Sitges is also a meeting point for reflections on the future of mobility. Conferences such as Urban Transitions, focused on urban challenges and sustainable mobility (which will be held again in Sitges in 2026), and unique events such as Autobello, held at Golf Sitges Terramar, reinforce the destination as a setting for events that bring together industry, innovation and experience.
As Stellantis put it after presenting the new Citroën C3 Aircross, ëC4 and ëC4x in 2025 at the Hotel ME Sitges Terramar: “A wonderful place, with spectacular views, very well connected to Barcelona airport. Everyone was delighted with Sitges and the space.”
