We are starting a new year with enthusiasm, with many projects and in the hope of seeing the return of in-person events very soon. We are strongly committed to the MICE sector and that is why: We are working for the future. We want to be there for you. We want to see you again. We will keep you up to date on all the sector’s latest developments in Sitges. Because in Sitges we never stop and We are waiting for you with renewed energy.

SUSTAINABILITY – We are working for the future

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has chosen Sitges as a destination committed to sustainability.

Here at the Tourism Department, we have completed the first phase of the destination’s Tourism Carrying Capacity analysis, which we conducted together with the Barcelona Provincial Council and the in2destination company.

As a result of this work, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has chosen Sitges as a destination committed to sustainability and highlights the study as an initiative to progress towards a comprehensive and sustainable management of the destination.

MEET – US – We want to see you again

We are living in unique times, but in spite of this unprecedented scenario, our goal remains the same: we will stay by your side and carry on with our activity. The entire Sitges CB team is working to offer you assistance and advice.

IMF – Iberian Mice Forum Destinations, March 10-11 in Madrid
All About People, from March 19 to 21 in Opio en Provence

The Sitges CB will represent Catalonia’s local Convention Bureaus in the Catalonia Convention Bureau’s Executive Committee during 2021 and 2022, in order to convey proposals and promotional requirements and give visibility to all the territories they represent.

The local Convention Bureaus of Catalonia are: Girona City CB, Lleida Event & CB, Tarragona CB, Lloret CB, Baix Llobregat CB, Val d’Aran CB and La Garrotxa Reunions entre volcans. Sitges CB is taking over from Lloret CB and will have the support of Girona City CB as a substitute.

In Sitges, we never stop. During the month of January the associated hotels opened and operational in Sitges are: Meliá Sitges, Hotel MiM Sitges, Hotel Calipolis, Hotel Estela Barcelona and Hotel Sunway.

Thanks to a drone’s eye view, discover the transformed Dolce by Wyndham Sitges, which reopened its doors in January 2020 with renovated restaurants, services, facilities and rooms and suites with a new, Mediterranean design. It will be waiting for you this 2021 with renewed energy.

The Meliá Sitges has installed SGAirQ in its Auditorium and Tramuntana Room, an innovative platform for indoor air quality management, which makes it possible to control the temperature, the percentage of humidity and the level of C02 concentration inside its rooms, in order to improve the comfort of all meeting attendees.

Event Technology at Hotel Calipolis. They have projectors and public address equipment built into all the hotel’s meeting rooms and all the necessary material to conduct videoconferences and streamed or hybrid events, with on-site attendees.

Virtual tours of the Cau Ferrat Museum and the Maricel Museum in four languages. Through 360° photographs that allow us to capture every corner of the museums, a virtual tour has been created incorporating audio, image, text, and video resources, to offer information about each museum’s rooms and most outstanding works.

With the future in mind, Cal Blay is preparing new gastronomic activities and offering a new product at Clos La Plana: “Paella Show”, a culinary experience that consists of a cooking show and a meal. Clos la Plana is a Modernist palace equipped with every comfort in an ideal setting for holding events.

Familia Torres offers an authentic and complete wine and gastronomy experience in four different Catalan appellations of origin. Waltraud Cellar and El Celleret Restaurant, both in Penedès area, are an unforgettable setting to host your event in a unique venue.

Autocars Dotor is committed to safety and in order to improve the air quality inside their coaches, they have installed the Hispacold Eco3 air purifier in all of them. This air purifier reduces microorganisms, germs and allergens and prevents bad odors.
