In the event that you need to move around Sitges, please contact the Sitges Convention Bureau. We will inform the local police of the route in order to obtain the necessary permits.
Turisme de Sitges’ raison d’être is to promote and manage activities and/or services that can contribute, in the broadest sense, to the town’s tourism and economic development in order to improve the competitiveness of the destination and the profitability of its businesses, while always taking sustainability into account.
Public spaces:
Sitges is a sustainable and intelligent tourist destination that offers public facilities of enormous cultural wealth. Here at the Sitges CB we will advise you on how to book these venues.
It’s important that before submitting your request, you consider:
- The time needed to obtain a license: at least 2 months before the event.
- The documents you must submit electronically. You will need to have a digital certificate.
- Questions to ask yourself before making your request: what do I need it for? How many people will be at the event? Will I require parking? What are my infrastructure requirements: audiovisual, furniture, sound? Do I want to advertise during the event? Do I need to hire a security service?
- Once the event is over, how much time do I need for clean-up? What cleaning service will I need? Remember that all public spaces must be left the same way they were before the event started.
Beaches:
The beaches are one of Sitges’ most important tourist assets; contact the Sitges CB and we will advise you on how to manage your request.
To be able to occupy properties of public maritime-terrestrial domain, it is necessary to obtain prior authorization from the Direcció General d’Ordenació del Territori i Urbanisme (General Directorate of Territorial Planning and Urbanism). In order to process and rule on the request, it is necessary for it to be submitted well in advance of the date the activity is scheduled to begin, which in no case should be less than two months given the mandatory reports that must be submitted. Once the fee is paid, the request will begin to be processed.
Sitges is Sustainability
Sitges’ commitment to sustainability is a fact. Sitges, certified since 2016 as a Biosphere destination, strives to improve in all areas of sustainability, both environmental, economic, and social, as well as to ensure safety and health conditions, in order to achieve and maintain a balance between tourists and residents. 2021 closed with 25 destination companies and resources with Biosphere certification. In addition, 9 of Sitges’ beaches and 3 of its marinas have been awarded the Blue Flag certifying their quality.
In 2017, the Garraf, Olèrdola and Foix parks received Certification from the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS), managed by the Europarc Federation, which includes other protected areas including Colls and Miralpeix, Costas del Garraf and Espai Marí del Baix Llobregat – Garraf.
Sitges is a sustainable and touristically responsible destination. The MICE sector also works together with the Town Council and implements improvement measures in accordance with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The public price of these municipal charging points is 0.38 kWh, with unlimited time of use.

- Meliá Hotel: They have 6 stations to charge vehicles in the hotel’s garage.
- MiM Hotel: There are 2 stations in the garage for charging vehicles and 2 specifically for Tesla vehicles.
- Eurostars Sitges Hotel: in the parking area there are 3 stations for charging vehicles and 2 Tesla Superchargers for X and S models.
- Hotel Calipolis: in the parking area there are 4 stations for charging vehicles.
- Sunway Hotel: 12 charging stations.
