EQUALITY POLICIES:
The staff is made up of people of both sexes, at a nearly 50:50 ratio.
SOCIAL INITIATIVES:
Donation of “forgotten” unclaimed clothing to Caritas Sitges.
REDUCING PLASTIC:
The use of plastic is kept to a bare minimum. Of the bottles used, 99% are made of recycled glass, except in large events, when plastic is used as a security measure.
RECYCLING AND WASTE:
Glass and cardboad are recycled through the City Council collection service, and returnable bottles are recycled through the distributors themselves.
ENERGY SAVING AND EFFICIENCY:
Installation of LED lighting and energy-efficient refrigerators.
RESPONSIBLE WATER MANAGEMENT:
Installation of an osmosis system to make their own ice cubes. Installation of a water-saving filter on all taps.
Taps with timers.
PROCUREMENT OF GOODS:
They engage the catering services of a local company that uses fresh, local produce, and 100% eco-friendly cookware.
Their drink suppliers are committed to the environment.
PRESERVING AND PROMOTING CULTURE:
They’re involved in local festivals.
OTHER POLICIES:
They’re part of the “Hospitality for the Climate” community, which provides them with ideas and useful, practical tools to boost their commitment to the climate.
