Nootka Kayak & Sup
Nootka Kayak & Sup is a nautical activity center specializing in paddle sports, where they have been sharing their passion for the sea since 2004
Their activity base is located at Anquines Beach, a quiet and enchanting area, with spectacular views of Sitges’ skyline and the Garraf Park. The beach is protected by two harbor-like breakwaters, which create a bay protected from the wind and waves, allowing them to be able to carry out activities in less favorable conditions.
They have a sports area equipped for a volleyball court and other activities on the sand. It is an unbeatable area to start or to develop any activity, whether they are events, courses or simply outings along Sitges’ coastline and around its coves.
Their wide range of experiences range from guided outings and courses, to team-building events or multi-activity incentives. They understand that each client is unique and strive to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their skills or experience in the water.
Activities: The activities they offer are kayaking, paddle surfing, Hawaiian canoeing, surfski, monster sup, catamaran, beach volley and beach olympics.
The activities can be carried out in the following formats:

Facilities: Their facilities have changing rooms with lockers, shower and are next to the Beso Beach and Aqua Beach beach bars.

Equality policies
They adopt gender equality labor measures and promote labor empowerment in their work systems.
Community initiatives
Coastal cleanup days. They collaborate with the CEM (Center for Marine Studies) in conferences and activities. They collaborate with the Club Natació Sitges doing the security with kayaks for the Travessa Nedant de Sitges (Sitges Swimming Crossing).
Committed to people
Collaboration agreements with the organization Ave Maria and the ABD Associació Benestar i Desenvolupament (Welfare and Development Association).
Non-use/ reduction in single-use plastics
They reduce the use of plastic and only use single-use plastics made from recycled plastics.
Recycling and waste
They take measures to minimize the waste generated with their activity and perform its correct separation. During guided excursions they collect the plastics they find in the sea and in the coves.
Energy saving and efficiency
Installation of energy saving LED lights.

Responsible water use management
Their facilities promote efficient water consumption. Informative signs to promote water saving.
Infrastructure
The entire base construction is made of wood with walls insulated by air chambers and painted with water-based paints.
Preservation and promotion of culture
They provide information on Sitges’ historical and cultural heritage.
Consumption of goods from local producers, healthy foods
Use of Km0 locally-sourced food products. The snacks offered for the activities are from local businesses and sustainable agriculture.
Sustainable use of the ecosystem and marine resources
They organize activities that respect the natural heritage and the local fauna. They provide information about the natural resources of the Garraf, Olerdola and Foix parks and the Garraf marine reserve.
Other policies
As a company that conducts activities in the natural environment, they are committed to its preservation. They raise awareness regarding its richness and fragility, and the need to be respectful with it. Their maxim is that our presence should go unnoticed and always leave the areas where the activities are performed looking better than how we found them.
