Now that the MICE sector can gradually return to its activity with the easing of measures by the health authorities, we would like to generate knowledge, promoting conferences and meetings that allow us to rethink the future and establish a basis among the different players, in order to move forward much stronger, with more information and improving our quality as a destination.We sponsor the EMA (Event Managers Association) project consisting of 3 meetings where we will reflect, discuss and reach a consensus on the MICE sector’s new business models, the first of which will kick off this month in Sitges.
EMA (Event Managers Association) in collaboration with the Sitges CB launches Consensum in an online webinar format, where leaders from different sectors will reflect on the changes that are taking place in society and how these changes will affect the economy and especially the MICE sector. The first one will take place on May 27th and the second one as part of the IMF, both from Sitges.Coinciding with the presentation of Consensum, the EMAs Board of Directors, made up of event managers from Amadeus, BMW, Vodafone, Sage, Airbus, Ainia, the Spanish Society of Hematology, Mesoestetic and Farmainvest, will meet face-to-face in Sitges on May 28th and 29th, in collaboration with Meliá Sitges, Me Sitges Terramar and the Sitges Convention Bureau.We kicked off the month of May by hosting and providing support for the Travel Advisors’ first WE CAN CHANGE TRAVEL event, “We Come from the Future”.
Travel Advisors Guild (TAG), one of the market’s main players in the MICE world, held the first event of its “We Can Change Travel” project last Wednesday the 12th, with the support and collaboration of the Sitges Convention Bureau. The venue for the meeting was the completely refurbished Dolce Sitges hotel, which reopened its doors a week earlier.
And we will continue to support other projects that we have already scheduled for this year, to acquire knowledge and share it with you.
Iberian MICE Forum National Edition in Sitges
IMF (IBERIAN MICE FORUMS), in collaboration with Finca Mas Solers and the Sitges Convention Bureau, will be organizing an exclusive event in Sitges in June for the MICE market in Spain and Portugal.
The IMF National Edition will be the meeting point for national planners, agencies, associations, event managers, destinations and suppliers in the MICE sector from all over Spain. More than 150 MICE sector players, opinion leaders and suppliers are expected to attend this professional event, which will take place in Sitges on June 15 and 16.Coinciding with the IMF on June 14th and 15th, Sitges will be hosting the Assembly of the I’M+ Incentive Travel Agencies Association, made up of 40 national specialized agencies from the MICE sector.Sitges CB was present at the national PCO congress, where it participated as a speaker at the Round Table, “The Convention Bureau – its relationship with the PCOs”, to discuss the interactions and synergies between these two main sector players. The Bilbao Convention Bureau and the PCOs Kuoni and BS also participated in the round table.
