Summer is coming to an end and the MICE sector is approaching its peak season. September brings the revival of events and Sitges gets underway again with the IMC – International Mobility Congress, among others. Sitges will host the congress organized by AMTU, “Associació de municipis per la Mobilitat i el Transport Urbà” (Association of Municipalities for Mobility and Urban Transport), presided over by the Mayor of Sitges, Aurora Carbonell.
The first edition of the IMC – International Mobility Congress, to be held in Sitges on September 21st and 22nd using a hybrid format, will analyze specific, applicable solutions in the field of sustainable mobility as an asset of a tourist destination, COVID LESS tools or the role that mobility and public transport should play in the new Next Generation European fund programs.The return of the Estrella Damm Ladies Open to Sitges has been confirmed. The fourth edition of this Ladies European Tour tournament will be held from October 1st to 3rd at the Terramar Golf Club, although the players will be staying in Sitges starting from September 27th.
Sitges, named world headquarters of national women’s chess team. The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has chosen Sitges to host the World Women’s Team Championship 2021 (WWTC), from September 26th to October 3rd.
