We make Freddy Mercury’s motto our own, “Don’t stop me now, don’t stop me, ‘cause I’m having a good time”.

That’s right! As we wrap up the final quarter of 2024, we’re still going non-stop, creating emotions, working hard on the final projects of the year and looking ahead to our promotional activities in 2025.

This quarter, we held the Sitges CB Members’ Assembly and participated in three international market workshops, as well as the IBTM in Barcelona. We met with a total of 192 MICE industry professionals to present Sitges as a meeting destination, and we attended four events that gave us the opportunity to network with 286 eventprofs, most recently in Madrid with CCB, where we presented our destination and local traditions to 50 EMA event managers.

In collaboration with Eurostars Sitges, Meliá and KT Events/Hilton, we brought 128 event organisers to Sitges so that they could experience the destination first-hand.

And in this quarter alone, we’ve managed over 60 requests to hold events in Sitges and carried out two inspection visits for two different congresses, one to be held in 2025 and another in 2026, as well as one for an international convention.

Now, we’re taking the month of December to attend CCB and Spain CB training sessions and prepare our initiatives for 2025.  We’re already working with Hotel Calipolis to host the Break The Ice Forum from 27 to 29 March in Sitges.From 27 to 29 March, Sitges, and more specifically the Hotel Calipolis, will host the Break The Ice Forum that will bring together 120 industry professionals from all over Europe.

This B2B event for the MICE sector will be a chance to create synergies and business opportunities for local companies, while introducing participants to Stiges and carrying out social responsibility initiatives that will help us have a positive impact on the destination.

We are waiting for you in Sitges!On 28 November in Madrid, we teamed up with the Catalunya Convention Bureau to hold the EMA Christmas Party, attended by 50 event managers.

The event included a presentation on ways to elevate events in Sitges through our hallmark touches. For a Catalan Christmas experience, the Rurality company organised a karaoke activity with “nadales” (Christmas carols), the “La Grossa” draw (a New Year’s lottery in Catalonia to raise money for good causes) and gifts such as an Advent calendar from Grupo Alba (a social enterprise that seeks to provide comprehensive assistance to vulnerable groups).

Thank you very much for your support!On 6 November, Sitges CB held its annual assembly at the Sunway Sitges hotel.

This yearly gathering of members of Sitges CB, which turned 20 this year, was a chance to explore new partnership opportunities and synergies among member companies. The event also included a summary of the initiatives carried out to reach the goals of the 2023 and 2024 action plans, and a presentation of the business strategy for 2025.This quarter, we welcomed 128 event professionals from the domestic and international markets, giving them the opportunity to discover Sitges.

Coinciding with the IBTM, together with the Eurostars Sitges, Meliá Sitges and ME Sitges Terramar, we hosted three fam-trips for the domestic market, Europe, Asia and Latam, as well as another one in October with KT-Events and Hilton Diagonal for the U.S. market.
