The Sitges Convention Bureau, new Gold Sponsor of the Event Managers Association. Its membership will allow the Sitges Town Council’s Tourism Department program to connect with key decision makers, and enjoy the national and international visibility that this organization affords its sponsors.

The Event Managers Association (EMA) is finalizing its collaboration agreements for 2021 and integrating as a Gold Sponsor the Sitges Convention Bureau (Sitges CB), the Sitges Town Council’s Tourism Department program with the participation of companies related to the Business Tourism Sector. By joining the EMA, the town will have the chance to connect with its partners and benefit from the national and international visibility this association affords its sponsors. The Event Managers Association is a professional outreach, meeting and benchmarking forum that brings together approximately 300 members who generate and organize corporate events. This positioning makes the EMA one of Spain’s leading companies in terms of representation, training and exchange of experiences for corporate event managers.

Sitges CB will be the new Gold Sponsor along with Apple Tree Communications and the Madrid Convention Bureau, with FYCMA, NH, Vinci and Cinesa as Silver Sponsors, and Meliá, Chateauform, Hoteles Santos, Grand Luxor Hoteles-Terra Mítica and Barceló, in the Bronze category. The Councilor for Tourism, Luis Miguel García, was very positive about joining the EMA because “it positions Sitges alongside other companies and organizations that are also benchmarks in congress and convention tourism. We hope that our joint work will generate synergies and will be yet another tool promoted from the Sitges CB to get the most out of 2021, and that it will be a turning point for the sector’s recovery following the upheaval caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.”

Sitges ranks second as a destination for congresses, conventions and meetings in Catalonia only after Barcelona. It boasts an auditorium for 1,400 attendees, two convention centers for 900 and 500 people, and more than 5,000 beds, 4,000 of them in 3, 4 and 5-star hotels, making it a sure bet and a trusted partner for the EMA.
