Since the past month of April, as evidence of Sitges’ vitality and the sector’s resurgence, corporate and association meetings are being held at Sitges CB associate member establishments, as well as activities and other complementary services. Flexibility, the search for new challenges and resilience are all a part of Sitges’ DNA.

We have conducted a survey among the hotels, Unique Venues and Activities Companies that are members of the Sitges Convention Bureau and it reveals an increase in the number of in-person events held at the destination between the months of April and June.

The national market, with 91.94%, is the most prominent, while the international market accounted for only 8.06%, although for the coming months we are receiving requests mainly from the French, UK, German, Scandinavian and US markets.

The group sizes are small, with an average of 22.61 attendees per meeting, although they range from 5 to 200 people and the average stay is 1.52 days.

As for the market segment, it is predominantly Corporate, accounting for 90.32%, while the Association segment accounts for 9.68%. However, confirmations and requests from this segment have been reactivated with an eye to 2022, as Congresses are being planned much further in advance and, for the time being, Associations are still opting for hybrid or virtual events this year.

Regarding the sectors that have chosen Sitges as their MICE destination, we find the pharmaceutical and medical, industrial, media, transport, cultural and automotive sectors.
